On June 17, an event on “Transparent Financial Management in Ensuring Human Rights” was held at the Ministry of Finance of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic within the framework of the “Human Rights Month”.
The purpose of the event was to discuss the responsibility of state bodies in protecting human rights, a sensitive approach to citizen appeals, the principles of transparency and accountability, as well as the opportunities created by digital financial management in this area.
Speaking at the event, Elvin Alimardanov, Deputy Minister of Finance of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, spoke about the importance of the “Human Rights Month” and the role of state bodies in protecting human rights and freedoms. It was noted that ensuring human rights is an important principle covering all areas of state administration. State bodies make a significant contribution to this area by basing their activities on legality, transparency, fairness, citizen satisfaction and accountability.
The Deputy Minister noted that transparent financial management is of particular importance in ensuring human rights. Efficient, purposeful and transparent management of public funds serves the social well-being of citizens, expanding equal access to public services and strengthening public trust.
Then, Aynur Mammadova, a leading legal advisor to the Ministry's Office, and Tural Mammadzadeh, a leading advisor, delivered reports on the topic. The reports provided information on ensuring citizen satisfaction, the principles of transparency and accountability, as well as the opportunities created by digital financial management.
