President Ilham Aliyev approved changes to budget, accounting and procurement legislation

On March 2, President Ilham Aliyev signed a Decree amending the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Budget System”, “On Accounting” and “On Public Procurement” and some decrees of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan related to its application. The change involves the preparation and presentation of budgetary indicators, the accounting, the compilation of financial statements and the conclusion of public procurement contracts electronically through the Digital Public Finance Information System. According to the amendment to the Law “On Budget System”, the information necessary for the compilation of the state budget and summary budget indicators during the period prescribed by that law is provided by the budget organizations to the relevant public authority, as well as the provision of the state budget indicators, income and expenditure distribution and other information by that authority to the budget organizations through the information system “Digital Public Finance”
