Dear memory of the victims of the Khojaly tragedy honored

On the occasion of the 34th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide, the staff of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan visited the “Ana harayı” monument, which was erected in memory of the victims of the tragedy. The ministry's staff placed flowers in front of the monument honoring the tragedy victims' cherished memory. The Khojaly genocide was written as one of the most horrific and tragic pages in human history. On the night of February 25-26, 1992, Armenian armed forces razed the city of Khojaly with the participation of the former Soviet army's regiment 366 in Khankendi. As a result of the massacre, 613 people, including 106 women, 63 children, 70 old men were killed with special impunity, 1275 civilians were captured, and the fate of 150 is still unknown. As a result of this act of genocide, 8 families were completely destroyed, 25 children lost both parents, and 130 children lost one of their parents. Our territorial integrity and sovereignty have been fully restored, and the victims of the Khojaly genocide have been captured on the battlefield in the wake of the 44-day Homeland War on September 27, 2020, a glorious victory under the Muzaffar Commander-in-Chief.
