New changes to the Certificate of Professional Accountant (PMS) have taken effect

Amended “Rules for organizing the process of issuance of professional accountant certificate, conducting examinations and maintaining the public register of persons holding professional accountant certificate” approved by the Decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated May 22, 2019. In this regard, Prime Minister Ali Asadov signed a resolution. According to the new rules: Exam assignments for each type of professional accountant certificates will be presented to the representatives of the Ministry of Finance only in closed mode in the administrative building of the State Examination Center. Candidates will be notified 5 days before the exam. Previously, it was 10 days. The examination announcement will be posted on the official website of the State Examination Center and candidates will be able to register within 30 days from the date of the announcement. Registration will be done electronically through “Personal Account”. Candidates must provide the following documents: Copy of diploma in secondary or higher education; Proof of at least 5 years of accounting work experience (for qualified students); Copy of the relevant certificates specified in the regulations (if available) and
