Delegation of the Ministry of Finance got acquainted with the experience of financial control of Georgia

Delegation of the State Financial Supervisory Service of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan visited the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Georgia on 23-26 February. Experience in organizing government financial controls, audit activities and internal control systems was exchanged between the parties as part of the trip. Risk-based audit approaches, improving control mechanisms, strengthening institutional capacity, and implementing digital solutions were discussed during the meetings. The delegation got acquainted with the activities of the relevant units of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia and heard presentations on the organization of financial supervision and audit processes in the public sector. Opportunities to expand interoperability, co-educational and internship programs were also considered during the trip. It was stressed that the meetings will contribute to the development of bilateral cooperation and implementation of leading practices in the field of public financial control.
