Awareness-Raising Event Held on Ethical Conduct Rules for Civil Servants
On May 22, an awareness-raising event on the topic of “Ethical Conduct Rules for Civil Servants” was held at the Ministry of Finance of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
The event was organized in accordance with the Ministry’s approved Action Plan for the first half of 2026. Its purpose was to enhance civil servants’ knowledge and skills in the areas of ethical conduct, anti-corruption standards and transparent governance.
Opening the event, Aynur Mammadova, an employee of the Internal Control and Audit Sector of the Ministry’s Administration, provided information on the importance of the topic. She noted that compliance with ethical conduct rules is essential for fostering a healthy working environment and maintaining mutual respect and trust.
Nurlan Hajiyev, Head of the Administration of the Ministry of Finance of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the Ministry’s ethics officer, then delivered a speech. He emphasized the importance of ethical conduct principles in the civil service in terms of professionalism, transparency, citizen satisfaction and safeguarding the reputation of the civil service.
The presentation also covered the requirements arising from the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Rules of Ethical Conduct of Civil Servants,” the main areas of activity of the ethics officer, as well as the fact that violations of ethical rules may result in disciplinary liability.
At the conclusion of the event, discussions were held on the topic, and the importance of civil servants adhering to the principles of integrity, responsibility, objectivity, transparency and respect for citizens in the performance of their official duties was emphasized.
