The next long-term training on the PAC program for public sector accountants has begun.
The next long-term training program on the Professional Accountant Certificate (PAC) program has been launched under the organization of the Ministry of Finance of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in order to increase the professional knowledge and skills of accountants working in public sector organizations.
Speaking at the opening of the training, Deputy Minister of Finance of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Elvin Alimardanov noted that the issues of organizing accounting in accordance with international standards are of great importance in terms of strengthening financial discipline in the public administration system, increasing transparency and ensuring accountability.
It was noted that the main goal of the training program is to improve the theoretical and practical knowledge of accountants working in public institutions, certify them in accordance with international standards and the requirements of existing legislation, as well as expand their professional development opportunities.
The Deputy Minister said that similar long-term training programs organized last year have concluded with high results. Thus, each of the 20 financiers of public sector organizations who successfully completed the program achieved a successful result in the first stage of the certificate exam. Thus, the positive experience gained in past trainings allows for more efficient organization of current trainings.
The trainings to be conducted by the Ministry's employee Iman Yusifov will initially cover strengthening basic accounting knowledge, and in the next stages they will be continued in accordance with the PAC program in accordance with the International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS). As part of the training process, it is also planned to organize mock exams for the participants in accordance with the exam model of the State Examination Center of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The training program, which will last for four months, is considered an integral part of the continuous measures implemented in the direction of strengthening the professional personnel potential in the field of accounting in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and expanding the application of international standards in public sector organizations.
