Long-term training for public sector accountants launched in Nakhchivan

On March 13, with the joint organization of the Ministry of Finance of the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan and the public legal entity “Nakhchivan Training Center”, long-term training has been started in order to increase the professionalism of accountants working in public sector organizations and to obtain the Certificate of Professional Accountant (PMS). Before training begins, Elvin Alimardanov, deputy finance minister of the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan, said that it is important that accounting is set up in accordance with international standards to strengthen transparency and reporting in the public administration system. He noted that the main purpose of these trainings is to enhance the knowledge and skills of accountants working in public bodies in the autonomous republic, to certify them according to the requirements of international standards and existing legislation, and to support their professional development. Instructions to be delivered by experienced professionals will initially begin with a basic knowledge of accounting, followed by a certificate of professional accountant (PMS) towards the International Standards of Accounting (ISMUBS) for the Public Sector
