The Law of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic “On the Execution of the 2025 Budget of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic” has been adopted in the third reading
On July 14, the final meeting of the extraordinary session of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic was held.
Bakhtiyar Mammadov, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, stated that today is a significant day marking the beginning of a new stage of development in the history of Azerbaijan's modern statehood. With the ascent of National Leader Heydar Aliyev to the leadership of Azerbaijan on July 14, 1969, the foundations of our country's independent and powerful statehood were laid. The strong economic, military, and human resource potential cultivated by the Great Leader during that period, along with the purposeful policies implemented, played a crucial role in saving the country when its statehood faced the threat of collapse in 1993, and established the basis for Azerbaijan's sustained progress.
It was noted that today we can proudly say that our country, under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, is experiencing the most powerful era in its history. The liberation of our lands from occupation, the full restoration of our territorial integrity and sovereignty, the successes achieved by our state across all sectors, and the further strengthening of Azerbaijan’s international standing are the successful outcomes of the strategy of development and state-building initiated by National Leader Heydar Aliyev on July 14, 1969. For this very reason, July 14 is regarded as a significant date in the history of modern Azerbaijan and is always commemorated with special reverence in the national memory of our people.
Deputies Zeynəb Quliyeva, Aynur Babayeva, Şəhla Əhmədova, and Sevinc Həsənova delivered speeches. The addresses highlighted the exceptional significance of National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s initial assumption of leadership in Azerbaijan for the history of our national statehood, as well as the decisive role his return to Nakhchivan played in the country's path toward independence and salvation; emphasis was also placed on the successful continuation of the Great Leader’s political course by President Ilham Aliyev.
The First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Assembly noted that three items had been included in the meeting's agenda.
Following the approval of the agenda, Mubariz Bayramov, Chairman of the Supreme Assembly’s Economic Policy Committee, presented information regarding the first item—the draft Law of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic "On the Execution of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic’s 2025 Budget" (in its third reading)—and outlined the committee's opinion; the Law was then put to a vote and adopted.
