"The best accountant of the new era" competition was held
The Financial Education Center under the Ministry of Finance of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic held the III autonomous republic competition "The best accountant of the new era" dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev.
With the support of Nakhchivan State University, 48 people registered online took part in the competition, which was held at the Faculty of International Relations and Law, including financial and accounting staff working in enterprises and organizations of the autonomous republic, students of higher and secondary education institutions, and other people interested in this field.
First, Mehriban Imanova, director of the Financial Education Center under the Ministry of Finance of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, spoke about the unparalleled services of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev in the economic development of Azerbaijan. It was noted that the multifaceted economic reforms implemented by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev, who successfully continued the development strategy defined by the national leader Heydar Aliyev in the new stage, resulted in the improvement and reconstruction of the traditional accounting system in the field of accounting as well as in various fields of the economy. . This, in turn, made it necessary to increase the knowledge and skills of accountants by meeting international requirements. It was stated that the purpose of holding the competition is to increase competition among accountants, to create conditions for improving their knowledge and skills in accordance with world standards, and to stimulate interest in the profession of accountant in the labor market.

During the competition, different question booklets suitable for accountants working in budget and commercial organizations, as well as students, were presented. The questions reflected in the booklet were of open and closed type and consisted of theoretical and practical test tasks. The second stage covered the accounting of operations in the enterprise and organization and the solution of practical issues, which included the preparation of financial statements in accordance with international standards. In the competition lasting for 3 hours, the assessment was carried out according to the degree of difficulty of the questions, and 50 points were calculated for each stage, out of 100 points in total.
The next day, an award ceremony was held in the Education Hall of the Financial Education Center. First, Mehriban Imanova studied the impressions of the participants regarding the progress of the competition, listened to their suggestions and gave information about the results of the competition. Shamkhal Ibrahimov, Ayten Mansumzadeh, Jamal Ibrahimli and students Nail Mustafazadeh, Ayten Imanova, Ramil Gurbanov were presented with plaques, diplomas and gifts. On the occasion of the remarkable year, the participants who took the next place were given an incentive prize.
